What Happens When You Book a Boiler Installation

Here’s what happens once you go ahead. We come out, assess your property, and recommend the right boiler for your home: size, output, and whether a combi or system boiler suits you better. That’s part of the recommendation, not something you need to work out yourself first.

On the day, the old boiler comes out, the new one goes in, pipework’s connected, the system’s flushed, and the controls are set up and commissioned properly. A like-for-like combi swap is usually a day’s work; changing boiler type or relocating it typically takes 2 to 3 days.

Before we leave, you’re shown how to use the new controls, handed the warranty paperwork, and issued a Gas Safe certificate.

Getting the boiler fitted isn’t where it ends. You’re covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, extended through our Worcester and Alpha accreditation. How much does a new boiler installation cost?

Honestly, it depends, and that’s the frustrating but true answer. What actually moves the price: the boiler type and output size, how easy the boiler is to access, flue routing, and whether it’s staying in the same spot or moving. Call us and we’ll give you a price based on your property, not a guess pulled from a website.

How long does it take to fit a new boiler?

A like-for-like combi swap is usually a day’s work. If you’re changing boiler type or moving it to a different spot, plan for 2 to 3 days. Access and pipework modifications are the main factors either way.

What brand of boiler do you install?

We’re accredited installers for Worcester Bosch and Alpha, which means the warranties on those units are extended beyond the standard manufacturer term. That’s not the only boiler we can fit, but it’s what we’re specifically accredited for, and it’s usually the better option if warranty length matters to you.

Should I repair or replace my boiler?
